What does the EPNCO do?
The EPNCO is a dedicated group of hundreds of Elmwood Park residents who work together to improve the quality of life of Elmwood Park through various civic and neighborhood activities. From renovating baseball fields at the public schools to raising money and toys for Marines and their families, from helping families in need to working with public officials on ordinances and laws, the EPNCO strives to ensure that Elmwood Park remains a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
Who is in the EPNCO?
The majority of our members are Elmwood Park residents, but anyone is free to join the EPNCO. We are also proud to have as members State Representative Angelo “Skip” Saviano, Hollywood actor Armand Assante, and hundreds of your neighbors and friends.
We rely on all of our members and supporters as we all work together to achieve our common goal, and we could not possibly continue to thrive as we have in the past without these special relationships.
Is the EPNCO a tax-deductible charity?
The EPNCO is a non-profit organization which means that we do not operate for a profit and no person makes a profit for his or her involvement in the EPNCO. Instead, we use any money we raise at our events and through advertisements in our newsletters to fund various programs throughout the community and to pay our generally minimal operating expenses. Most of what we rely on is the time and generosity of our members.
Because we do not raise money for charities but for the community, we are not a 501(c)(3) organization which means that donations are not tax-deductible. Instead, we rely on the generosity of people who love Elmwood Park more than their ability to take tax deductions.
Every board member, officer, and member is a volunteer.
